The question is which left the best and lasting impressions out of the strong group.Picking from a crop of games presented that include all different genres, those we can play and those that were played for us, early information, early builds, and more complete builds while trying our best to cut through all of the marketing bullcrap heaved in our direction can be confusing and tough. But after discussions, disagreements, and disembowelments, we came up with a list of what we thought were the strongest titles overall and in each category. These games include those that already show excellence or some serious promise.
We decided for reasons of sanity, continuity, and simplicity that we would only pick one winner and one or two runners-up for each category in the PC Best of E3 2004 awards. Unfortunately, this means that there were a lot of games that we thought were awesome at the show that just couldn't make it onto the list. Hopefully we'll get the chance to get you excited about these titles in the future as well, but until then, read on and see what tickled our fancies more than anything else at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo.
